TagTheWord
Bible study resources built to make serious study easier to access.
The accepted way
Serious Bible study means a shelf of reference books, or a stack of separate apps for text, audio, and commentary.
What we asked
Why can't the text, the audio, and the study material sit together in one place, in more than one language, on whatever device is at hand?
TagTheWord puts the reference material for Bible study in the same place as the text. You choose a book and chapter, and the commentary, outlines, and maps for that passage are right there with it, with no switching between apps or books.
What's in it
- Scripture in English and Spanish. Holy Bible and Santa Biblia, switchable from the reader.
- Audio Bible with playback controls.
- Commentary, sermons, and outlines next to the text, from sources such as Matthew Henry, John Wesley, John Darby, the Scofield reference notes, and Charles Spurgeon's sermons.
- Study notes for passages: summaries, main points, discussion questions, and references.
- Maps, through an integration with BibleMapper.com.
- Background material such as historical events and the prophets of the Old Testament.
- Reader settings for font size and theme.
Built to install
TagTheWord is a progressive web app. Install it from the browser and it behaves like a native app on a phone, tablet, or desktop, with no app store involved.
Biblia Hispana
The Spanish-language material is also published at bibliahispana.com for Spanish-speaking readers.
